Fairview Village Ltd is seeking an experienced, values-driven Board Director with extensive financial expertise to join our governance team and help shape the future of an innovative, community-focused organisation.
This is an opportunity for a locally based finance professional with Board experience to contribute strategic financial oversight and governance to a respected regional not-for-profit. Experience in, or a solid understanding of, the aged care sector and the regional operating environment will be highly regarded.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has extensive senior finance experience, ideally as a CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller or similar executive role.
- Has previous Board or Board Committee experience, with a strong understanding of governance and financial oversight.
- Lives locally and has a genuine connection to the region.
- Understands the operating environment and challenges facing regional not-for-profit organisations.
- Has experience in,
or a sound understanding of the aged care sector (highly desirable).
- Can provide strategic financial insight, risk management expertise and support sustainable organisational growth.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent).
- Previous Board Director or governance experience.
- Local resident with an understanding of the regional community.
- Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience within the not-for-profit sector.
- Knowledge of the regional aged care operating environment.
Commitment
Our preference is the ability to attend regular Board meetings and participate in relevant Board committees, with virtual attendance possible. A modest remuneration is offered in recognition of the role's responsibilities.
