We are seeking up to four experienced sawmill workers to join our production team at our Grafton mill.
Tableland Timbers Pty Ltd is a long-established sawmill producing structural timber for the building and construction industry. This is a fast-paced, hands-on, and production-based Sawmill.
- Above award pay rates (based on skill and experience)
- 4-day work week – Monday to Thursday (38 hours)
- Stable, ongoing full-time employment

What you'll be doing
Work will vary depending on your experience and skills, and may include:
- Operating sawmill machinery to process logs into finished timber
- Friction driving (Bench 1 Breast Bench)
- Breast bench operation (Bench 1 or Bench 2)
- Canadian operator duties (log handling / mill feed operations)
- Sawing, docking, and tailoring operations
- Timber stacking, grading, sorting, and handling
- Forklift and loader operation
- Mill yard work and general production support
- Maintaining safe and efficient mill operations
You will typically start in an area suited to your skills, with opportunities to develop and move across other parts of the mill over time.
Key Skills and Experience
We are looking for experienced sawmill or timber industry workers.
Experience in one or more of the following is required:
- Friction driving (Bench 1 Breast Bench)
- Breast bench operation (Bench 1 or Bench 2)
- Canadian operator (log handling / mill feed operations)
- Saw operation, docking, or tailoring
- Timber stacking and handling
- Forklift or loader operation
- Sawmill machine operation or maintenance
We cut structural timber grades F8, F11, F14, F17, and F22.
Timber grading experience (GOS / AS 2082 standards) is highly regarded but not essential.
Sawmill or timber industry experience is essential.
