Several opportunities exist for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our busy Perth-based operation as Vehicle Systems Fire Suppression Technicians. These positions involve installation, inspection and servicing of a variety of fire protection and fire suppression systems that are fitted on machinery and vehicles.
Wormald has a strong culture of developing their staff and culture. These roles exist within the Perth-based Vehicle Systems team, who will oversee and support the Trainee to develop their technical and practical skills through ‘hands-on’ training to nurture the individual into a skilled career. Similarly, the Experienced Technician role, is looking for an individual who is interested in being an integral part of the Vehicle Systems team and is keen to take this opportunity to assist their career development.
We are ideally looking for individuals with previous Fire Systems Experience and/or a Mechanical Trade background who are hardworking and who can work both autonomously and within a team environment. Alternatively, the individuals may be mechanically minded and looking for a career recalibration.
Key responsibilities for these positions include, but are not limited to;
- Servicing and installation of a wide variety of fire protection and fire suppression systems on machinery and vehicles, in accordance with Australian Standards.
- Identification of non-compliant items with customer assets.
- High level of customer service, positive attitude and professional interaction with customers.
- Strict adherence to environmental health and safety policy and procedures.
- Performing all assigned work within required time frames, tolerance and budget.
- Proficient use of Smart device technology and applications.
To be considered for these roles, ideally you will have:-
- Fire Industry experience and Mechanical Trades Licence, preferred.
- Current WA Driver's Licence.
- White Card.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong focus on quality and great customer service.
- An ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
- Good personal presentation.
