People & Culture Coordinator (Part-Time)

As our hotels continue to evolve, we’re excited to be creating a brand-new People & Culture Coordinator role to support our growing team. This is a fantastic prospect to join an energetic and collaborative People & Culture team and gain hands on experience across two Sydney CBD.
Reporting to the Portfolio Director of People & Culture, you’ll be involved in all aspects of the employee experience, from welcoming new team members to assisting in coordinating events, driving engagement initiatives, and helping create a workplace where people genuinely feel valued and supported.
Whether you’re currently studying Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or you’re at the beginning of your HR career, this role offers exposure to a wide range of People & Culture activities that will fast track your development and set you up for future career opportunities.
No two days will be the same, and you’ll be encouraged to bring your ideas, creativity, and passion for people to help shape our team culture.
The Day-to-Day:
Working alongside the People & Culture team, you’ll:
- Support all stages of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee movements and offboarding
- Welcome new team members and help create memorable onboarding experiences
- Coordinate team engagement activities, recognition programs, celebrations, and wellbeing initiatives
- Assist with the organisation of training programs and learning & development activities
- Build positive relationships with employees and leaders across both hotels
- Maintain employee records, HR systems, reporting, and People & Culture documentation
- Assist with drafting communications, announcements, and engaging content for our teams
- Support compliance activities and ensure employee records remain accurate and up to date
- Contribute ideas that help improve the employee experience and strengthen our culture
- Help champion Accor’s values and create an environment where everyone feels welcome and feels valued
The Right Person
We’re looking for someone who loves working with people, enjoys being organised, and is excited to start or continue their HR journey.
You will bring:
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for people and culture
- Strong communication skills and confidence building relationships with a diverse team
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn
- A professional approach and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong administrative and computer skills,
including Microsoft Office
- Currently studying or recently completed qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Hospitality, or a related discipline (highly regarded)
- Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, administration, or HR experience will be highly regarded
