About the role
SPDR Group (Specialised Plumbing, Drainage & Roofing) is a growing multi-division contractor working across residential, commercial and civil construction throughout Melbourne. We need an experienced Roof Plumber to join our roofing division on a full-time, ongoing basis — with a strong pipeline of work already secured, not a "see how it goes" contract.

What you'll be doing
- Installing, flashing and sealing metal roofing systems on new builds
- Diagnosing and repairing leaks and roof damage
- Reading plans and working to spec on commercial and residential jobs
- Working safely and independently, with support from a full-time supervisor and admin team so you're not stuck doing paperwork

This is a safety-critical trade on live construction sites. We run a strict drug and alcohol-free workplace.
We also expect punctuality, reliability and a genuine work ethic as the baseline, not a bonus. If you're chasing a start date so you can no-show or ghost us, don't bother applying — we move fast on positive people and cut ties just as fast on bad ones.
What you'll need
- Cert III in Roof Plumbing or Plumbing (or equivalent trade qualification)
- Solid hands-on experience in metal roofing — new applicants and experienced hands both welcome, tell us where you're at
- Current driver's licence and own basic hand tools
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Right to work in Australia
