We’re recruiting a newly created Senior Accountant position on behalf of a growing, fast-paced business headquartered in Brisbane. The company is investing heavily in its finance capability to support continued expansion and operational improvement. This is a rare opportunity to join a business in transformation mode, offering commercial exposure, project variety, and a genuine pathway into leadership.

You’ll work closely with an experienced and commercially minded CFO who brings a strong technical foundation and is known for building high-performing, values-led teams. The CFO is seeking an ambitious qualified accountant to step into a broad role spanning financial control, commercial finance, and strategic support.

The Role

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role suited to someone ready to expand their scope beyond month-end and compliance into business partnering, board reporting, and strategic analysis. You’ll be a key member of a lean and cooperative finance team, supporting growth initiatives and continuous improvement across the function.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the month-end close and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
- Oversee compliance obligations (BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax)
- Manage audit and tax relationships and prepare statutory reports
- Support board reporting and the development of management reporting packs
- Deliver financial analysis to support investment and business case decisions
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and 5-year planning model
- Monitor cashflow, working capital, and covenant compliance
- Assist in developing Power BI dashboards and enhancing reporting automation




- Identify and implement process improvements across finance operations

About You

You’re a qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with strong fundamentals in financial and management accounting. You enjoy variety and are ready to step into a broader commercial role. You’re confident engaging with stakeholders, adaptable to change, and eager to build a long-term career in a business where finance plays a strategic role.
