Founded in 2015, Shield AI is a venture‑backed deep‑tech company with the mission of protecting service members and civilians with intelligent systems. Its products include the V‑BAT and X‑BAT aircraft, Hivemind Enterprise, and the Hivemind Vision product lines. With nine offices and facilities across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia‑Pacific, Shield AI’s technology actively supports operations worldwide. Our autonomy and vision technology is now being adopted across some of the most complex and high‑stakes environments in modern defence. We’ve established a dedicated software factory to build, optimise, evaluate, and analyse autonomy and vision system solutions, working closely with partners and customers to solve real warfighting problems.

Responsibilities

- Support and evolve containerised CI/CD pipelines across multiple isolated environments.
- Manage JFrog/Artifactory repositories for multi‑language and generic artefacts.
- Validate and deploy autonomy and vision‑system products, tools, and libraries.
- Collaborate with engineers and system admins to ensure integration and stability.
- Tackle complex, meaningful problems that directly support mission outcomes.

Qualifications

- Significant recent experience in a hands‑on DevOps setting (e.g., GitLab, Azure DevOps, Atlassian).
- Experience supporting C++ and Python–based applications.
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows systems.
- Familiarity with C++/Conan build systems and Python deployment/distribution.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Background in air‑gapped or isolated DevOps environments (highly regarded).

Location & Compensation

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia – Port Melbourne. Salary: A$140,000.00–A$150,000.00.

Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. All offers are contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check.
