Design Manager – Full‑time, Permanent (Doncaster, VIC). This role leads the design of high‑voltage infrastructure and renewable energy projects, coordinating across electrical, civil, structural and SCADA disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design team for high‑voltage substations, transmission lines, wind farms and battery storage systems.
- Collaborate with primary and secondary design experts, overhead lines, civil and structural disciplines to integrate all inputs into a cohesive design.
- Ensure designs are compliant, efficient and aligned with client and industry requirements.
- Act as a central technical reference for engineering management, design teams and external stakeholders.
- Resolve design challenges, maintain consistency across disciplines and contribute to the successful delivery of large, multi‑discipline projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Chartered Professional Engineer status.
- Significant experience in high‑voltage engineering design within utilities or renewables.
- Track record of contributing to large, multi‑discipline projects.
- Strong understanding of transmission grid projects and renewable energy connection requirements.
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
