Aftermarket Sales Representative – Trucking & Trailer Industry

We’re currently recruiting for a full‑time, permanent Aftermarket Sales Representative for our client, a global leader in the manufacture of braking, electronic and related subsystems for commercial vehicles.

Based in Southeast Melbourne but largely field‑based, this role focuses on building strong distributor relationships, gathering market insights, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting customer engagement across Melbourne and broader Victoria.

Responsibilities

- Lead daily aftermarket sales development by building rapport, actively selling and promoting the product range
- Develop and maintain distributor support strategies aligned to the wider global plan
- Plan regular customer visits across Melbourne and regional Victoria, gathering market intelligence and reporting on pricing, product needs and trends
- Identify and qualify new aftermarket distributors for inclusion in the sales and service network
- Deliver informal and formal product training to distributor teams and customer groups
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and Aftermarket team to grow the distributor network and execute area sales plans

Qualifications & Skills





- Diploma‑level technical qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Ability to deliver informal training and product knowledge sessions
- Solid communication, organisation, and presentation skills
- Ability to gather and report meaningful market insights to improve product offerings
- Experience building and managing dealer or customer relationships in trucking, trailers, OEMs, workshops or similar technical environments (e.g., mine sites, repair centres) would be extremely beneficial
