Additional Information:
- This role is Permanent Full‑time, 76hrs/ fortnight
- The internal job title for this role is Fulfilment Operations Team Leader
- This role requires availability to work Monday to Sunday between the hours of 11pm and 11am (Overnight)
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster. You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).
- As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre‑employment check for final candidates.
- Previous forklift driving experience and a valid forklift licence (LO) will be highly regarded
About this work area
As Goods Flow Team Leader, your responsibilities include:
- Managing daily activities, rostering, breaks, and achieving KPIs for the Fulfilment Operations team.
- Ensuring efficient warehouse systems for stock allocation, inventory control, and conducting investigations related to inventory discrepancies.
- Leading recruitment, retention, and development of team talents to ensure a high‑performing, diverse team.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and protected work environment, ensuring compliance with IKEA Code of Conduct and local regulations.
- Continuously improving daily operations to enhance customer shopping experience through product quality, merchandising, and stock accuracy.
- Promoting quality awareness, implementing local business plans/projects, and analysing workload to achieve operational excellence.
As a Goods Flow Team Leader, you:
- Have experience leading teams in operational functions, with a proven record of delivering business results and people development.
- Are passionate about customer‑centric Fulfilment Operations.
- Possess sound computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- Have exceptional communication skills for building relationships and managing stakeholders.
- Think ahead, remain calm under pressure, and excel in agile decision‑making and problem‑solving.
- Are comfortable with strategic, tactical, and operational tasks in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Maintain self‑awareness and a safety mindset, ensuring a safe working environment while delivering results.
