About the role

Nova-Electrical Services is seeking a 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice with experience in Solar & Battery Installs to join our growing team on a full time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your electrical skills whilst specialising in the renewable energy sector, specifically solar photovoltaic systems and battery storage installations. Based in Roxburgh Park, VIC, this role offers hands-on experience working on residential and commercial projects that are at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions.

As a 3rd year apprentice, you will be progressing towards your qualification whilst contributing meaningfully to our project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

- Assist in the installation, testing and commissioning of solar photovoltaic systems and battery storage solutions on residential and commercial properties

- Perform electrical wiring, cable management and connection work in accordance with Australian electrical standards and safety regulations

- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on solar and battery systems to ensure optimal performance

- Support the experienced electrical team in the safe and efficient completion of projects, from planning through to final inspection

- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including system specifications and testing results

- Adhere strictly to all health and safety requirements, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following site safety protocols

- Communicate effectively with customers, team members and supervisors to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met





- Continue your electrical apprenticeship training through on-the-job experience and formal educational components

What we're looking for

- Currently enrolled in or completing a 3rd year electrical apprenticeship with a registered training organisation

- Demonstrated experience in solar photovoltaic installations and preferably battery storage system installations

- Sound knowledge of electrical safety practices and compliance with Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000)

- Competency in reading electrical drawings, schematics and system designs

- Practical skills in using electrical tools and test equipment, including multimeters and insulation testers

- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and in varying weather conditions

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical specifications precisely

- Reliable, punctual and committed to continuous learning and professional development

- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transport

- Working With Children Check (WWC) or willingness to obtain if required
