About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Sourcing Managers to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across a portfolio of high-value and complex procurement programs. Working within a fast-paced NSW Government environment, you will manage end-to-end sourcing activities, deliver commercial outcomes and establish contracts that support critical telecommunications and infrastructure initiatives.
This role requires a procurement professional with strong strategic sourcing capability, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and proven experience delivering complex government procurement projects. Candidates with experience in utility procurement, particularly electricity contract management within the NSW Government setting, will be highly regarded.
Position: 5x Sourcing Manager – $850–$950 per day + super

Key Responsibilitie
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement activities across high-value and complex procurement projects.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that deliver value for money and strong commercial outcomes.
- Manage Expressions of Interest (EOI),
Requests for Tender (RFT), Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and other procurement processes.
- Conduct supplier market analysis and market engagement activities.
- Facilitate tender evaluations, commercial assessments and supplier negotiations.
- Prepare procurement documentation, evaluation reports and executive recommendations.
- Establish, negotiate and administer commercial contracts in accordance with NSW Government procurement policies.
- Provide procurement and commercial advice to internal stakeholders throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and key business stakeholders.
- Identify procurement risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Monitor supplier performance and support ongoing contract management activities.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant legislation, governance frameworks and organisational policies.
- Contribute to procurement planning and the successful delivery of FY26/27 procurement programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, supplier performance and commercial value.
- Mentor junior procurement team members where required and promote procurement best practice.
About You
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement activities. NSW Government Utility Contract Management (i.e, Electricity) experience preferred.
- Strong experience delivering complex procurement projects within the NSW Government environment is highly regarded.
- Proven ability to manage high-value tenders, commercial evaluations and supplier negotiations.
- Experience establishing and managing complex commercial contracts.
- Preferred experience managing NSW Government utility contracts, particularly electricity procurement and contract management.
- Sound understanding of the NSW Procurement Framework and government procurement legislation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills.
- Highly developed analytical and commercial problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement projects within competing deadlines.
- Experience preparing procurement plans, business cases, evaluation reports and contract documentation.
- Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, Law or a related discipline.
- CIPS, MCIPS or equivalent procurement certification will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using procurement and contract management systems.
