Your new role An opportunity is available for a Purchasing Officer to join a busy procurement team. You will support day-to-day purchasing activities, ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.This role suits a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing purchase orders, supplier communications, and procurement administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise and manage purchase orders
- Source goods and services in line with procurement policies
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations
- Monitor orders and follow up on deliveries
- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records
- Support contract and procurement activities
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Assist with inventory and stock management where required
- Prepare purchasing reports and data analysis
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role
- Robust administrative and organisational skills
- Experience using ERP or purchasing systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
