About Warlu Way Group

Warlu Way Group operates a growing portfolio of hospitality, accommodation, property and beverage businesses across regional Western Australia.

The group includes pubs, restaurants, takeaway outlets, accommodation businesses, property entities and emerging wine and manufacturing ventures. This role is designed to bring more of the finance function in-house and closer to operations, supporting the owner and venue teams with better reporting, control and decision support.

The role

This is a hands-on internal role that combines day-to-day accounting with management reporting and commercial support across multiple entities.

You will

- Lead the internal finance function across the group, with an admin officer reporting to you who supports payroll and general admin/bookkeeping activities.

- Work closely with external accountants on specialist tax, compliance and structuring matters.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day accounting across multiple entities, including reconciliations, transaction review, coding accuracy and month-end close.

- Manage accounts payable workflows, supplier accounts, payment scheduling and issue resolution.

- Coordinate with the admin officer on payroll inputs, payroll tax, superannuation and related employment obligations.

- Prepare annual budgets for each business unit and maintain budget models in the accounting system.

- Produce monthly management accounts and consolidated group reporting, with commentary on performance.

- Monitor key hospitality metrics including wages, cost of goods sold, margins, labour efficiency and cash flow.

- Provide venue and business managers with regular financial insights, reports and follow-up actions.

- Maintain daily and weekly cash flow visibility and assist with working capital planning.





- Support insurance renewals and selected property-related financial workflows.

- Prepare information packs for lenders and assist with bank reporting, covenant compliance and finance applications.

- Support due diligence, feasibility work and modelling for acquisitions, disposals and new ventures.

- Work with external accountants on BAS, IAS, year-end financial statements, tax returns, trust matters, SMSF matters and structuring advice.

- Strengthen internal controls, documentation, process discipline and reporting timeliness across the group.

About you

- CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification preferred.

- Comfortable operating in a hands-on environment where detail matters and priorities move quickly, and able to move between transaction-level work and higher-level commercial analysis.

- Able to move between transaction-level work and higher-level commercial analysis.

- Confident using Xero and other cloud-based accounting tools.

- Experience in hospitality, accommodation, property or multi-site operations will be highly regarded.

- Strong communication skills and commercial judgement; able to work closely with an owner-led business.

- High level of accountability, discretion and follow-through.
