About E-Tech Group
E-Tech Group is an Australian-owned construction and infrastructure services business supporting electrical, civil, labour hire and major project delivery. Based in NSW and continuing to grow across new markets, we work with leading contractors and clients on a range of complex projects. We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of our Clients finance function and provide accurate, practical and commercially focused support to the Directors and wider business.
About the role
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is comfortable managing the day-to-day finance function while also contributing to budgeting, forecasting and business planning. You will work closely with the Directors, operations, payroll and administration teams to ensure the business has clear and timely financial information.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss reports, balance sheets and cash flow forecasts.
- Develop and maintain annual budgets, rolling forecasts and project performance reporting.
- Monitor working capital, debtor collections, supplier payments and cash requirements.
- Provide the Directors with commercial analysis on margins, labour costs, project performance and business growth.
- Oversee payroll-related finance processes and ensure accurate reporting and reconciliations.
- Manage BAS, GST, payroll tax, superannuation, workers compensation and other statutory obligations, working with external advisers as required.
- Support year-end accounts, audits, insurance renewals and banking or finance requirements.
- Review and improve financial controls, systems and reporting processes.
- Support and guide finance and administration team members.
About you
- Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Senior Management Accountant or in a similar hands-on role.
- Strong experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, labour hire or another project-based industry will be highly regarded.
- A relevant qualification in accounting or finance; CPA or CA qualification is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of Australian tax, payroll and statutory reporting requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence using accounting, payroll and business systems.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to explain financial information clearly.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A practical, proactive approach and the confidence to work directly with business owners and operational teams.
