Our client is a well-established and growing freight and logistics organisation based in Murarrie. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join their finance team immediately.
This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to commence immediately in a temp capacity before transitioning to a permanent role for the right person, within 1-2 months. The position offers a broad mix of Accounts Receivable, Billings, Collections, Accounts Payable and Reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end Accounts Receivable processing and customer invoicing.
- High-volume billings and accurate processing of freight-related charges.
- Proactive debtor management and collections.
- Investigation and resolution of customer account queries.
- Allocation and receipting of customer payments.
- Processing supplier invoices and Accounts Payable transactions.
- Preparation of supplier payment runs.
- Bank, credit card and general ledger reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of customer and supplier accounts.
- Assisting with month-end processes and reporting requirements.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliance requirements.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate billing and timely resolution of discrepancies.
About You
- Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Finance Officer or similar position.
- Robust Accounts Receivable, collections and billings experience.
- Exposure to Accounts Payable processing.
- Solid reconciliation skills and strong attention to detail.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team setting.
