Primary objective

You will coordinate and deliver high-quality administrative services to support the effective operation of the School Leadership,

Culture and Care Team. You will provide reliable support to senior leaders, manage priorities and information, and contribute to a respectful, culturally safe and well-functioning team.

Context statement

School Leadership, Culture and Care (SLCC) supports the workforce conditions that help schools succeed. The team focuses on the people and workforce systems across the Department, including leadership, capability, wellbeing, culture and cultural responsiveness. SLCC works at a system level to reduce complexity and provide clear, practical support so leaders can make confident workforce decisions.





You will work closely with the Senior Director, a small administrative team and a range of internal and external stakeholders. The role requires flexibility, good judgement and the ability to manage changing priorities. This role is designated under Special Measures to strengthen Aboriginal Employment pathways.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Coordinate administrative support for the work unit, including allocating tasks and monitoring workloads.
- Provide executive and secretariat support, including coordinating meetings, managing correspondence and tracking follow‑up actions.
- Maintain accurate records and information in line with policy and governance requirements.
- Liaise with staff, schools and external stakeholders to support day‑to‑day operations.
- Coordinate business processes such as travel, scheduling, procurement support and basic project administration.
- Deliver skilled, responsive and customer‑focused administrative services.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and model inclusive and culturally safe behaviours.

Selection criteria

Essential

- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of people and to build positive working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to organise work, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Experience providing high‑level administrative support in a busy environment, including coordinating meetings,

correspondence and records.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities while maintaining service standards.
- Ability to understand and apply policies, procedures and guidelines to administrative and business processes, and to recognise when issues need to be escalated.

Desirable

- Experience working in a government, education or community‑focused organisation.
- Experience using common office software and electronic record or workflow systems.
