About the Role:

This is a part-time, maximum-term contract based in Fairfield, NSW, available until 30 June 2027.

As the Allocations Officer, you will play a key role in assessing and allocating properties across our Supported Housing and Housing Independence Programs, ensuring allocations are managed in line with the Pathways Policy, Service Agreements and Program Guidelines. The role is essential to supporting the efficient allocation of housing resources, maintain operational effectiveness and contributing to positive outcomes for our customers.

Responsibilities:

- Monitoring the Referral Register and allocating customers to suitable properties with close adherence to relevant legislation and requirements.
- Supporting the administration of viewing and lease sign-ups.
- Making recommendations to the Manager regarding complex allocation matters.

Qualifications:

- Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement).
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated customer service experience across phone, email and face-to-face interactions.
- Experience working in the social housing, community housing or community services sector.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Desirable:

- Experience using Homes and TRIM systems.
- Certificate III in Welfare or Certificate IV in Community Services, Housing or a related discipline,
- Knowledge of social housing legislation, allocation processes and tenancy management principles.
