Reporting to the Analytical Chemistry Lead, you will be part of a small but rapidly growing world leading company developing a range of superior yeast biocatalysts for biofuels, feed and human applications.
This is a hands-on role providing analytical support to the wider R&D; team within MicroBioGen. You will work as an integral part of a small team requiring a collaborative approach to manage tasks.
Your Duties Will Include
- Operation of HPLC’s, GC’s and associated equipment, with training provided.
- Troubleshooting, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment.
- Method development & data analysis.
- Undertaking training as necessary to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields.
- Recent graduate or up to 3 years work experience in lab setting.
- Innovative, enquiring, systematic, and efficient work approach.
- This is a hands-on role and requires the confidence to develop skills to analyse and fix equipment and process issues as they arise.
- Effective communication skills and solid attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
