SmartLab is an online Literacy, Numeracy/Mathematics and Science Diagnostic and Learning Platform resource for primary and secondary schools across Australia and New Zealand (www.mysmartlab.com.au).

Role

SmartLab is seeking enthusiastic appointment setters to cold and warm call prospective clients in Australia and Current Zealand (heads of department and deputies) to book them in for online product demonstrations with our team.

Job type

This role is solely remote (work from home). You can also pick and choose your own hours.

Compensation

Contractor (ABN) rate: $30 per hour + $15 commission for every meeting you booked that turns up.

or

Casual employee rate: $33.05 per hour + $9.89 commission for every meeting you booked that turns up + super (12%).

Experience

Previous appointment setting / call centre / cold or warm calling experience is desired.

Hours

You will initially start with a 10-hour paid trial where you will be required to book at least 3 meetings. If you are successful meeting the trial KPIs within your first 10 hours, we can then offer ongoing hours provided you can maintain our standard KPIs of one meeting booked every 2 hours. The average for the team is one meeting booked every 1-2 hours.

Timeline





If you are successful, we will kick off with a 45-minute training session, followed by a paid 10-hour trial period in which to meet KPIs of booking 3 meetings or under. The 10-hour trial can be split up over various days. If you are successful during the trial, you will be offered ongoing hours until the first week of December 2026 (provided you maintain the standard KPIs of one meeting booked at least every 2 hours).

Please note we will pause during school holidays between school terms which may be for 1 or 2 weeks at those times.

Requirements

- Based in Australia or NZ

- Access to your own computer/laptop with a reliable internet connection

- Your own phone plan (preferably unlimited international calling plan to call NZ as well as Australia)

- Sailstrail app dialer for call logging (note this is mandatory for the role and the application only works on mobile phones, not computer/VoIP dialing).
