There is substantial opportunity to develop a broad range of knowledge, skill and experience with significant support, and, to transition into a Technician position and senior roles with mechanical/ technical/ engineering focusses longer term. The job you will love, includes these key accountabilities: Completion of all requirements for award of the Apprenticeship qualification, comply with the Apprenticeship Provider Training Plan and contractual obligations
With supervision and instruction, undertake a broad range of technical duties for the servicing, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment, with a focus on agricultural machinery and equipment. Activity may include, but is not limited to:
Undertake routine servicing. Including oil and filter changes, greasing, component replacement as examples
With instruction and supervision, support field service works or pre-delivery tasks
Interpretation of Service manuals, Parts diagrams and technical instruction
Maintenance of accurate job records, service reports and parts usage documentation
May analyse data, prepare and disseminate/ communicate reporting (with approval as required)
With instruction moving to supervision/ general direction with skill development, inspect machinery, identify faults and support diagnostic work on mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical systems
With guidance, develop fluency in the Manufacturer Warranty Process
Undertake house-keeping activity to ensure workshop and tools are clean, organised and protected
May participate in team or departmental projects (as required) Requirements To be successful you should be an Australian citizen/ resident or have permanent and unrestricted right to work and study in Australia, and your resume should include: Year 10 Secondary Education, with strong literacy and numeracy outcomes
Preparedness to enrol, or working towards, completion of a relevant Certificate III (apprenticeship qualification)
Current Driver's Licence
Forklift Licence (or willingness to attain)
L2 First Aid Certificate (or willingness to attain)
Previous hands on experience in a heavy equipment/ automotive/ service workshop environment (desired)
Developing mechanical aptitude
Demonstrated interest in working with diesel engines/ machinery/ agricultural equipment
Well developed research and technical problem-solving ability
Attention to detail
Well developed organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to safe work practices and quality work
Physically capable of safely performing a broad range of workshop duties, including manual handling (eg. lifting, bending, reaching), forklift driving, working with hand and power tools and machinery and operation of diagnostic devices
Ability to work with instruction and supervision, including as part of an effective team An inherent requirement of this position is on-site, supervised work. An ability to travel frequently regionally and interstate or internationally on occasion is required Kubota have a significant focus on health, safety and well-being.
