St Mary's Anglican Girls' School is an independent day and boarding school for over 1500 girls from Kindergarten to Year 12. We provide girls with opportunities to pursue personal and academic excellence in a respectful and supportive environment.

The Lynne Thomson Creative Arts and Design Centre is a stunning, 3-storey, purpose-built facility designed to support high-quality Art education. It includes purpose-built Art classrooms, a Fashion Design Studio and a Ceramics Studio, to facilitate the courses offered at St Mary's.

The Art department is a positive, dynamic department which has consistently achieved excellent WACE results and numerous Art awards. The study of Visual Arts is compulsory in Year 7 and 8. Extended Art and Design electives are offered from Year 9, and ATAR Visual Arts, General Visual Art and VET units are offered in Year 11 and 12.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate teacher to join our Art Department. This is a fulltime ongoing role commencing Term 1 2027, with an opportunity to negotiate 0.8 FTE for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will have:

- Experience teaching upper and lower school Visual Art,



particularly Year 11 and 12 ATAR.
- Academic rigour in the teaching of art theory and criticism and visual language.
- Demonstrate a high level of technical skills in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional art forms.
- Understanding of the Western Australian Arts Curriculum from Year 7 to Year 10.
