They are seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to support the day-to-day management of a residential property portfolio in Canberra.
Your new role
As the Assistant Facilities Manager, you will support the delivery and management of a residential property portfolio, ensuring properties are effectively managed throughout their entire lifecycle, from acquisition and onboarding through to occupancy and exit.
Key responsibilities will include
- Managing residential property activities across the full property lifecycle, including onboarding, occupancy and exit processes.
- Coordinating move-in and move-out activities, ensuring properties are fully prepared and compliant prior to occupancy.
- Maintaining accurate property records, documentation and portfolio tracking systems.
- Supporting compliance, health, safety and risk management activities across the portfolio.
- Assisting with financial management, budgeting, procurement and contract administration activities.
- Managing relationships with service providers, contractors and suppliers to ensure service levels are achieved.
- Providing exceptional customer service and acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders and occupants.
- Supporting operational reporting, compliance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with the mentoring,
training and support of property coordination staff and site-based resources.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have experience within facilities management, property management or residential portfolio management and be comfortable working in a structured, compliance-focused environment.
You will also bring
- A strong understanding of facilities and residential property management principles.
- Knowledge of compliance, safety and property readiness requirements.
- Experience managing contractors, maintenance programs and operational workflows.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation and problem-solving capabilities.
- Financial administration, budgeting or procurement experience.
- Relevant qualifications in facilities management, property, construction or a related discipline.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
