Assistant Manager – Walpole Community Resource Centre An excellent career chance is now available at the Walpole Community Resource Centre.
We are seeking a dedicated, organised and dynamic individual to join our team as Assistant Manager. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with people, supporting their community and being involved in a wide range of programs, projects and services. :
About the Role
Working closely with the Manager, the Assistant Manager will help support the day-to-day operations of the Walpole Community Resource Centre and contribute to the delivery and development of services that benefit our local community.
Key responsibilities will include
- Assisting with the day-to-day management and efficient operation of the CRC.
- Coordinating and overseeing community programs, projects, workshops and events.
- Supporting and supervising CRC staff, trainees and volunteers.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with local businesses, government agencies, community organisations and other stakeholders.
- Helping develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and community engagement.
- Preparing reports, correspondence and presentations for the CRC Committee, funding bodies and other stakeholders.
- Assisting with budgets, financial administration and the procurement of goods and services.
- Supporting grant-funded projects, reporting and acquittals.
- Ensuring CRC activities comply with relevant policies, regulations, funding requirements and standards.
- Supporting the Manager across the wider operations of the Centre and taking on additional responsibilities when required.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in a management, supervisory or coordination role, preferably within a community-focused organisation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office software.
- Experience using MYOB and/or other accounting software.
- Experience in project management, program delivery and/or event coordination.
- The ability to work independently, show initiative and contribute positively as part of a team.
Experience within a not-for-profit or community service environment, knowledge of community development principles, grant administration, and familiarity with government services and reporting requirements would be highly regarded.
Employment Details
Employment Type:
12-month contract, with the possibility of extension subject to performance and funding availability.
Work Hours:
Tuesday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm.
