About the role We have exciting permanent opportunities for experienced "hands‑on" Assistant Production Managers to work on our morning or afternoon shifts at our Riverwood site in South‑West Sydney. Reporting to the Production Manager, the role will manage a team of food process operatives, ensuring production runs according to the planned schedule and KPI’s are met.

What you'll do - Supervise and direct a small production team under the guidance of the Production Manager.

- Support the daily team and review staff performance.
- Coordinate on‑the‑job staff training and assessment.
- Oversee adherence to quality, safety and efficiency standards across assigned production lines to meet shift requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and report all near‑misses and hazards.




- Maintain food safety/production records and ensure their accurate completion.
- Organise the work area and uphold GMP standards.
- Manage production line supply of raw materials/components.
- Conduct physical inventory checks for stock verification.
- Troubleshoot production issues and escalated equipment malfunctions.
- Contribute to minimizing food wastage in the production area.

Qualifications / Experience - Background in food manufacturing/preparation and/or large‑volume commercial kitchen facility, operating food production equipment.

- Sound understanding of GMP, HACCP and Food Safety practices.
- Certificate II in Food Processing (or working towards this qualification) or equivalent (desirable).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to give clear instructions and manage team performance.
- Ability to inspire and motivate the team to realize their full potential.
- Dedicated with a strong work ethic and a "can‑do" attitude.
- Able to work in a fast‑paced production setting with changing priorities.
