The opportunity

This newly created leadership role within Enterprise Services will help advance the University’s AI capability and turn strategic ambition into practical, enterprise-wide outcomes.

Working across the University, you will support the adoption of AI technologies that improve services, enable new ways of working and deliver better outcomes for students, researchers and staff. You will help connect institutional priorities with delivery, ensuring AI initiatives are well governed, responsible and scalable.

You’ll play a key role in developing and delivering the University’s AI strategy, turning emerging opportunities into practical, responsible and scalable outcomes. You’ll connect strategy with delivery,



bring stakeholders together and help ensure promising AI initiatives can move forward responsibly and at scale.

What you’ll do

- Translate the University’s AI strategy into practical initiatives, operational capabilities and scalable outcomes
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of AI platforms, services and delivery processes
- Help move successful AI use cases from experimentation into secure, sustainable operations
- Build trusted relationships across academic, research, professional and technology portfolios
- Provide expert advice on AI governance, ethics, assurance, cybersecurity, privacy and risk
- Coordinate stakeholders and contribute to governance forums, investment decisions and benefits realisation
- Prepare clear advice, briefings and communications for senior and non-technical audiences

What we’re looking for

- Must have demonstrated experience establishing and scaling AI use cases, operating models, governance frameworks and enablement programs in a large, complex organisation
- A solid technical foundation across software, data, integration, cloud or platform environments, combined with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders
- Experience moving AI, data or emerging technology initiatives from pilot into secure, supportable operations
- Sound knowledge of responsible AI, assurance, cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory and risk frameworks
- An influential, collaborative leadership style, with the confidence to hold the room, challenge constructively and align diverse stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex AI opportunities and risks clearly to senior, technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong judgement and a practical, value-focused mindset,



with the ability to balance innovation, risk and operational readiness
