And now, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Auction Operations Manager to lead our auction team and oversee the successful delivery of our auction operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing day-to-day operations of our auction department while leading and developing a dedicated team.

You'll oversee the entire auction process, from consignments and customer appointments through to catalogue preparation, auction delivery and post-auction settlement. You'll work closely with customers, vendors and internal departments to ensure every auction runs smoothly while maintaining the exceptional service standards Roxbury's is known for.

In addition to managing daily operations, you'll play an important role in coaching and mentoring the auction team, improving workflows, implementing new processes and contributing to continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor and support the Auction Operations team.

- Coordinate daily workflow and allocate priorities to ensure auction deadlines are achieved.

- Coach and develop team members while fostering a positive, collaborative culture.

- Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing staff development.

- Work closely with management to drive operational excellence.

Auction Operations

- Oversee the end-to-end coordination of auctions from consignment through to post-auction settlement.

- Manage auction administration, customer appointments, vendor communications and workflow.

- Ensure auction deadlines, catalogue accuracy and operational milestones are consistently achieved.

- Coordinate auction viewings,



collections and post-auction activities.

- Liaise with auction platform providers and support interstate offices.

Customer & Vendor Relationships

- Deliver exceptional service to customers and vendors.

- Manage consignments, vendor statements and settlement processes.

- Resolve enquiries promptly and professionally.

- Build strong relationships that encourage repeat business and long-term loyalty.

Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiency.

- Develop and implement new processes and procedures.

- Support business growth through innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

- Demonstrated leadership or management experience.

- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.

- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.

- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

- Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and web-based systems.

- Previous experience in auctions, administration, logistics, customer service or a related operational environment will be highly regarded.

No prior numismatic experience is required. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.
