Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automotive Electrician role based in Perth, WA.

The Automotive

Electrician will diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles, including starting and charging systems, lighting, wiring, sensors, and electronic control units. Daily tasks include using diagnostic tools and test equipment, interpreting wiring diagrams, performing electrical installations and upgrades, and ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards. The role involves collaborating with mechanics and service advisors, documenting findings and repairs, and communicating clearly about work required and completed.





The Automotive

Electrician will also maintain workshop tools and equipment, follow workplace health and safety procedures, and support continuous improvement of service processes.

Qualifications

Formal qualification in automotive electrical or automotive technology (e.g., relevant certificate or apprenticeship), or equivalent industry experience.

Proven experience diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including wiring, sensors, control modules, and accessories.

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation to support accurate fault-finding and repair.

Competence using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, scan tools, oscilloscopes, and associated workshop tools.

Sound understanding of automotive safety standards, workplace health and safety practices, and relevant regulations for vehicle electrical work.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal rework and high-quality outcomes.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse workshop team.

Current valid driver’s license;

experience with a range of vehicle makes and models is an advantage.
