Role Description The AWS Administrator is a full time, on-site role based in Bundall, QLD. This role is responsible for managing and administering AWS infrastructure, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and optimization of cloud resources. The AWS Administrator will handle daily operational tasks such as user and access management, security configuration, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.

The role includes implementing best practices for cost management, ensuring high availability, maintaining compliance with security and governance standards, and supporting development and operations teams with AWS-related needs. The AWS Administrator will also troubleshoot issues, document configurations and procedures,



and contribute to continuous improvement of cloud architecture and processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong AWS administration skills, including experience with core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.

- Candidates should possess cloud infrastructure and networking skills, including VPC design, security groups, load balancers, VPNs, routing, and connectivity to on-premises environments.

- Candidates should possess security and compliance skills, including IAM policies, role-based access control, encryption, backup strategies, logging, and adherence to industry standards.

- Candidates should possess scripting and automation skills, such as using Bash, PowerShell, or Python, and working with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).

- Candidates should possess monitoring and troubleshooting skills, including experience with CloudWatch, AWS Config, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis.

- Candidates should possess collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with development, operations, and security teams and document processes clearly.

- Beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect).
