Job Title: Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain cloud-native backend microservices using Java (Spring Boot) or Kotlin for Trade Finance applications.
- Design and implement REST/gRPC APIs, enterprise integrations, and event-driven solutions using Kafka and IBM MQ.
- Build and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, migrations, and transactional queries while ensuring high performance.
- Develop comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests, ensuring high code quality and production readiness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement complex Trade Finance business rules, support production operations, and drive continuous engineering improvements.

Key Skills Required:

- Strong hands-on experience with Java (11+/17+), Spring Boot,



and backend microservices development.
- Expertise in REST APIs, PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, and database migration tools such as Flyway or Liquibase.
- Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, event-driven architecture, and enterprise messaging systems.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud-native development practices (AWS/Azure preferred).
- Solid understanding of testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, Pact/Spring Cloud Contract) and Agile software development methodologies.
