The Standard Market Company is located within the busy retail precinct of Gasworks Plaza. Newstead. We specialize in gourmet food across our butcher shops, delis, fruit shops, bakeries, juice and gelati bars. You will be joining a vibrant team and business that is undergoing major growth.

We currently have a Full Time Bakery Customer Service Assistant vacancy to fill within our team. In this role, you will be working within a close knit, fun team, providing outstanding service and knowledge in high quality gourmet bakery products.

Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

- Store set up - packaging, wrapping different bakery products to be displayed on shelves.

- Arranging cake and food displays.

- Slicing breads, heating pies, merchandising, assisting Pastry Chefs with packaging,



serving customers.

- Providing exceptional customer service

- Taking orders over the phone

- Use of POS register

- EFTPOS & cash handling

- Cleaning & sanitisation of display cabinets and direct work areas.

To be successful in this position, you must meet the following criteria:

- Must be available for an immediate start!

- You must be physically fit as this role requires you to be able to lift and move products regularly.

- Be reliable and hard working.

- Be a team player with positive communication skills

- Have a passion for high-quality baked goods

- Previous experience within a bakery environment will be highly regarded
