SEWK PTY LTD Burger Baby Margaret River is seeking an experienced, energetic and customer-focused Barista to join our busy hospitality team. The successful applicant will prepare and serve high-quality espresso coffee and other beverages, provide friendly and efficient customer service, maintain the coffee station and support smooth front-of-house operations during busy service periods.

responsibilities Prepare and serve espresso coffee, tea, hot chocolate and other hot and cold beverages Operate and monitor commercial coffee machines, grinders and other beverage equipment Adjust coffee grinders and extraction settings to maintain consistent coffee quality Texture and steam milk to the correct temperature and consistency Prepare beverages according to customer orders, recipes and presentation standards Provide latte art and attractive beverage presentation where required Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly, professional service Process payments and operate the point-of-sale system when required Advise customers about coffee blends, beverage options and menu items Respond to customer requests, preferences and dietary requirements Monitor the quality, taste, temperature and presentation of beverages Maintain adequate supplies of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups and other service items Receive, rotate and safely store beverage ingredients and supplies Assist with stock control,



inventory checks and ordering requirements Clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders, benches and service areas Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements Assist with opening and closing procedures for the cafe and beverage station Support other front-of-house team members during busy service periods Help train junior staff in coffee preparation and customer-service procedures when required Qualification &

experience Relevant barista training or hospitality qualification is highly regarded Certificate II or III in relevant field is highly regarded

At least one year of relevant experience as a Barista in a busy cafe or restaurant environment Solid knowledge of espresso extraction, coffee grinding and milk texturing Ability to prepare a wide range of hot and cold beverages consistently Experience using commercial coffee machines and point-of-sale systems Excellent customer-service and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-volume environment Strong teamwork, organisation and attention to detail Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and beverage quality Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required About Company Burger Baby Margaret River provides a warm and welcoming dining experience using fresh ingredients and quality recipes.
