Biochemist — AI Data Trainer About The Role What if your deep knowledge of protein folding, enzyme kinetics, and metabolic pathways could directly shape the next generation of AI? This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for PhD-level scientists who want to apply their expertise beyond the bench.

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced biochemistry questions and scenarios spanning nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance
Build Ground-Truth Solutions — Author precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for high-level scientific reasoning in AI systems
Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and scientific validity
Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify flaws in AI logic — such as incorrect stoichiometry, misapplied stereochemistry,
or flawed mechanistic reasoning — and provide structured feedback to improve model performance Who You Are Holds a PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related discipline
Solid foundational expertise in one or more core areas: structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, bioinformatics, or pharmacology
Able to communicate complex biochemical and chemical concepts clearly and precisely in writing
Detail-oriented with a high level of precision when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous, remote environment
No prior AI experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or quality assurance workflows
Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST
