Biochemistry Subject Matter Expert (AI Training) About The Role We're looking for PhD-level Biochemists to help evaluate and improve the next generation of AI models. Your deep scientific expertise will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex topics like protein folding, metabolic flux, enzyme kinetics, and molecular genetics — making a real impact on the future of scientific AI. This is a fully remote, versatile contract role. No prior AI experience required.

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced biochemistry questions across domains like nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance
Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for high-level scientific reasoning in AI systems
Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy and adherence to scientific standards
Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied biochemical principles, and provide structured feedback to improve model accuracy
Work Independently — Complete assignments asynchronously on your own schedule Who You Are Holds a PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field
Deep foundational knowledge in one or more areas: structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, bioinformatics, or molecular genetics
Able to communicate complex biological and chemical concepts clearly in written form
Highly detail-oriented when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
No prior AI experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or scientific review workflows
Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST
