Roster: 8 Days on 20 days off - (Job Share) - FIFO ex Perth We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Blast Operator with minimum 4 years experience to work on a job share roster of 8 days on 20 days off , the role is responsible for ensuring drill and blast activities are conducted in a safe and cost-efficient manner.
Reporting to the Drill and Blast Supervisor, the position will also be required to provide sufficient quantity and quality of blasted stock for mining or processing.Key Responsibilities Demonstrate behaviour that aligns with FMG values
Comply with Zero Harm principles daily
Meet daily operational targets
Perform all duties as directed by the Drill & Blast Supervisory Team
Operating machinery in a secure and efficient manner
Ensuring all associated equipment is maintained in a safe condition
Ensuring Drill & Blast patterns are kept to a high standard
Using techniques and procedures that improve performance and cost efficiencies
Qualifications and Experience WA Class C Driver's Licence (manual)
Dangerous good security clearance
Current WA Shotfirer's Licence (highly regarded)
Mobile equipment operation in mining industry – desirable
Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act/Regs
Basic computer skills
Time management skills
