Gippsland Body Builders is a local family owned & operated business specializing in the manufacturing of semi trailers & truck bodies.
Gippsland Body Builders are currently looking for a welder / fabricator with relevant experience to join their busy team.
Roles available for immediate start.
The desired applicant's role will involve:
- Fabricating tipping bodies from aluminium & steel
- Fabricating trailer chassis from aluminium & steel
- Truck chassis alterations & towbar installations
- Trailer repair work & alterations
- Fabricating componentry for all aspects of trailers & trucks
Desirable attributes, but not essential, include:
- Experience in heavy vehicle fabrication
- Experience in heavy vehicle maintenance / service and repair
- General knowledge of the heavy vehicle/transport industry
- A willingness to improve your skill set and grow within the business
- Knowledge and understanding of OH&S; legislation
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Desired (but not essential) licenses & qualifications:
- Cert 3 in Engineering & metal fabrication (or equivalent experience)
- Current forklift License
