ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to an exciting phase of growth and expanding operations, we are looking for a full time Boilermaker to join our team. We are looking for skilled and dedicated Boilermakers to help us maintain excellence and keep up with demand for our product.
As a Boilermaker you are a key piece to our manufacturing success and crucial to Maskill maintaining it's reputation as Australia's leading specialist in the field of mining-class undercarriage manufacturing, repairs and refurbishment.
You will be someone that has solid experience as a Boilermaker within a team and has proven competencies in Boilermaking.
You will come with experience in heavy metal manufacturing and have had exposure working with finished machined parts. You are someone that is mechanically minded and prides themselves on their precision and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
We will provide everything you need to get the job done and we will even wash your uniforms but in return you must wear the appropriate PPE and fully comply with our safety rules and procedures. If your someone who doesn't really value robust safety practices, read no further, Maskill is not the place for you.
The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of different products and components using different welding processes. The list below gives you an idea of the key tasks a Boilermaker is responsible for:
- Competently perform GMAW and FCAW welding techniques
- Assemble, fabricate, repair and install an array of components
- Interpret and work from production drawings, prints or plans.
- Accurately measure materials
- Highly proficient with Oxygen Acetylene & Carbon Arc Gouging
- Experience working with high carbon and wear materials requiring pre & post heat
- Accurately follow and understand weld procedures
- Work cohesively in a large team of Boilermakers
- Follow safe work procedures (SWP's)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Trade Qualified Boilermaker
- 3 Years plus experience working as a Boilermaker in Heavy Metal Manufacturing Industry
- Strong personal commitment to safety
- Competent
- Exceptional work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Physically fit
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi task and prioritise duties
- Positive attitude.

- Valid forklift licence
