Task & responsibilities
- Fabricate, cut and weld steel components to drawing specification (MIG/TIG/stick)
- Inspect, repair and rebuild buckets and attachments
- including wear plates, cutting edges, lips and GET components
- Perform hardfacing/wear-resistant overlay on high wear areas
- Straighten, repair and reinforce worn or damaged structures
- Fit, align and assemble components prior to welding
- Operate cutting,



grinding and or rigging/lifting equipment safely
- Perform visual and dimensional quality checks on completed work
- Maintain tools and welding equipment in safe working condition
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and relevant welding codes/standards
- Keep accurate job and time records Qualification & experience
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent
