We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Payroll Officer to join our Finance Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with bookkeeping experience who enjoys payroll and is looking for a long-term career with a supportive and growing organisation.
Working closely with our experienced Accounts Manager, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day finance operations while receiving ongoing training and mentoring. Payroll is a significant part of this role, so previous end-to-end payroll experience is highly regarded, however we are happy to provide training to the right person.

About the Role
Your responsibilities will include
- Processing weekly and fortnightly payrolls
- Assisting with payroll tax, superannuation and WorkCover requirements
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Processing journals and maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Supporting the Accounts Manager with general finance administration
- Working collaboratively with our finance and consultancy teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
About You We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping role with exposure to end-to-end payroll
- Experience using MYOB and/or Xero
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- The ability to work independently while also enjoying being part of a collaborative team
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience within the childcare or education sector
- Experience with Kinderm8 or OWNA
