We are currently seeking to appoint a Briefings Coordination Officer to support Heritage NSW through the coordination of ministerial correspondence, briefing materials, parliamentary documentation and strategic communications.
About the role The Briefings Coordination Officer plays a key role in supporting Heritage NSW by coordinating the delivery of high-quality ministerial correspondence, briefing notes, parliamentary documentation and other strategic communications. Working in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, the role liaises across business units to ensure information is accurate, consistent and delivered within tight deadlines. The position is responsible for managing workflows, monitoring briefing processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and supporting the coordination of issues and projects of corporate significance.
Success in the role requires excellent written communication skills, strong stakeholder engagement, sound knowledge of government processes and protocols,
and the ability to exercise judgement when managing complex, sensitive or high-profile matters.
About You
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive professional with exceptional written communication skills and a strong understanding of government processes and protocols. The successful candidate will be experienced in coordinating complex and time-sensitive briefing materials, ministerial correspondence and parliamentary documentation, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently manage competing priorities, and build effective working relationships across a broad range of stakeholders. Your ability to exercise sound judgement, handle sensitive issues with discretion, and identify opportunities to improve processes will be essential. We are looking for someone who is collaborative, customer-focused, solutions-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes that support organisational and government priorities.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- Excellent written communication and briefing skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of government structures, processes and protocols.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
