Due to a solid pipeline of upcoming works, we're looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to lead the delivery of bulk earthworks and remediation projects across Melbourne.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who understands how to safely manage large earthmoving operations, coordinate crews and plant, and keep high-volume projects moving while maintaining exceptional safety and environmental standards.

About the Role

Initially based on a major landfill remediation project in Melbourne's west, you'll be responsible for supervising day-to-day site operations on behalf of Lantrak. Working closely with the Lantrak Project Manager, Superintendent, HSEQ team and the client, you'll oversee the import and placement of multiple material streams while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with strict environmental and compliance requirements.

You'll lead a team of approximately 4–10 personnel, coordinate subcontractors and plant, and become the key point of contact between Lantrak and the client.

Your Responsibilities

- Supervise daily bulk earthworks operations across an active landfill and remediation project.
- Lead daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and site safety activities.
- Coordinate operators, labour, subcontractors and earthmoving plant.
- Manage imported material volumes, placement and daily production targets.
- Ensure imported materials are placed in accordance with approved GPS designs.
- Supervise landfill cover operations and ensure compliance with environmental management plans.
- Oversee asbestos disposal areas and ensure works comply with the Asbestos Management Plan.
- Monitor productivity, plant utilisation and daily site performance.




- Complete daily reporting and maintain accurate site documentation.
- Attend client coordination meetings and work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and HSEQ personnel.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance and quality.

About You

We're looking for someone who has supervised bulk earthworks projects, not just general civil construction. You'll ideally bring experience working on large civil earthworks, landfill, remediation or major infrastructure projects where you've coordinated multiple crews, managed heavy plant and delivered works safely under demanding project conditions.

You'll also have

- Proven experience supervising bulk earthworks projects.
- Strong understanding of cut/fill operations, imported fill and material placement.
- Experience coordinating excavators, dozers, graders, rollers, articulated dump trucks and other earthmoving plant.
- Strong understanding of compaction requirements and earthworks quality processes.
- Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work directly with clients and consultants.
- Strong understanding of WHS, environmental compliance and site documentation.
- Ability to lead from the front in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Current driver's licence and relevant construction tickets.

Experience working on landfill, remediation or contaminated land projects will be highly regarded.
