Senior Business Development Manager Step into a role where you are selling something genuinely different, and where the work you bring in becomes experiences that people actually remember. For nearly 30 years, the live events side of this business has been producing immersive, large-scale experiences for some of Australia's most recognised brands. These are the kinds of corporate events that people are still talking about the following week.
Running alongside that is a fast-growing broadcast studio that transforms corporate communications into broadcast-quality, TV-style programs with production values you would normally only see on prime-time television. Both parts of the business are entering a serious growth phase, and this hire leads the charge.
What the role looks like day to day This is a full-cycle sales role, which means you are involved from the very first conversation right through to the moment the contract is signed. You will spend your time building a disciplined pipeline of enterprise opportunities, leading discovery conversations that get underneath what a client actually needs, and then developing proposals that bring the live event and broadcast capabilities together into one compelling story. You will also manage and grow an existing portfolio of clients across global pharma, financial services, government, legal and consumer brands.
These are senior relationships with CMOs, Heads of Internal Communications, Chief People Officers and L&D; leaders, and you will report directly to the CEO with a clear line of sight to Head of Sales as the team grows. Build and work a disciplined pipeline of enterprise opportunities, with weekly visibility to the CEO on where things stand
Lead discovery conversations that uncover the real communications challenge before any solution is even mentioned
Write and present integrated proposals that bring live experience and broadcast together in a single, coherent narrative
Own and grow a portfolio of key accounts, with account plans that have real revenue targets attached to them
Keep CRM records accurate and pipeline reporting clean so the business can make well-informed decisions What we are looking for You have between five and eight years of B2B sales experience in a consultative, high-value setting. Think events, experiential, corporate communications, branded content or marketing services.
You have a genuine track record of closing deals in the $50K to $500K range with enterprise clients.
You have sold to senior buyers, whether that is CMOs, Heads of Communications, Chief People Officers or L&D; leaders, and you understand the complexity that comes with those relationships.
Your background is in agency or professional services rather than product or SaaS. You know how to manage long sales cycles of 60 to 120 days without losing momentum or discipline along the way.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. You write proposals people actually read and present in rooms that matter
Genuine digital fluency so you can have a credible conversation about audience analytics, engagement metrics and broadcast ROI A warm network across Sydney in pharma, financial services, legal or government is a real advantage in this role The kind of person who thrives here You generate your own pipeline and do not wait to be pointed at opportunities. You find them, qualify them and move them forward yourself.
You sell outcomes rather than services, and you take the time to understand what a client is really trying to achieve before you talk about what you can offer them. This is a role with real influence over go-to-market strategy, genuine uncapped upside, and a CEO who will invest in your growth rather than just manage your output. If you back yourself to perform at this level, we would love to hear from you.
