Intermediate / Senior Business Services Accountant About The Role Are you an ambitious Intermediate or Senior Accountant looking for a modern, tech-forward firm with transparent career progression, true flexibility, and a supportive team environment?

is seeking an experienced Business Services Accountant to join our growing team in North Lakes, Brisbane . This is a full-time permanent role (38 hours/week, with part-time options down to 30 hours/week considered) replacing a team member going on maternity leave.

We are a 100% cloud-based practice working with high-quality family and business groups (turnovers up to $10M). You will enjoy flexible working arrangements, work-from-home options, on-site parking, and direct mentorship from experienced Directors.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare Year-End financial statements and tax returns for all entity types (Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Individuals) excluding SMSFs.
- Handle QBCC and TPAR compliance and reporting.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, activity statements (BAS/IAS), and supporting workpapers.
- Manage client tax technical matters, including Division 7A, FBT, and CGT.
- Provide Xero, payroll,



and bookkeeping support/troubleshooting for clients.
- Build direct rapport with clients, providing ad-hoc business support and advice.

What We Are Looking For

- Experience: 2-5+ years in Australian public practice accounting.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting; currently pursuing or completed CPA/CA.
- Tech Stack: Proficient with Xero, XPM, Xero Tax, and MS Office (experience with BGL, SuiteFiles, or Asana is a plus).
- Attributes: Strong communicator, system-minded with high attention to detail, capable of working independently, and a great team player who isn't afraid to pitch in.
