The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly analytical and collaborative Business & Systems Analyst who is passionate about improving business processes, optimising technology solutions and driving innovation across the organisation. This is a dynamic role that combines business analysis, systems support, process improvement and technology innovation. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, technology partners and external vendors to deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve customer outcomes and support Miga's strategic priorities.

Reporting to the Business Systems Team Leader, you will play a key role in analysing business needs, identifying improvement opportunities and translating requirements into practical, scalable and efficient technology solutions. The role supports critical business systems including and reporting platforms while contributing to strategic business initiatives, digital transformation projects and continuous improvement programs.

You will also have the opportunity to help drive innovation through automation, artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven insights, helping Miga improve productivity and deliver exceptional outcomes for members and customers.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Analyse, document and manage business, functional and system requirements
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews and process-mapping activities
- Conduct current-state and future-state analysis, gap assessments and solution evaluations
- Support and maintain core business applications and coordinate system enhancements
- Liaise with vendors and technology partners to resolve issues and deliver improvements




- Develop and execute testing activities including system, integration and user acceptance testing
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve workflows and reduce manual effort
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, productivity and customer experience
- Support automation, AI and innovation projects across the organisation
- Develop business cases, recommendations and insights that support strategic decision-making
- Contribute to the successful delivery of system implementations and transformation projects

What we’re looking for

Success in this role comes from strong analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. We're seeking someone who brings:
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst or Business & Systems Analyst
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis, systems analysis and process improvement
- Experience working with enterprise applications, business systems and reporting platforms
- Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and requirements gathering skills
- Experience developing business requirements, process maps, functional specifications and user stories
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Experience supporting system implementations, testing and change initiatives
- Experience using SQL and reporting tools
- Proven ability to identify and deliver automation, optimisation and efficiency improvements




- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and projects

Desirable:

- Experience within the insurance industry
- Claims process improvement experience
- Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies
- Lean, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement qualifications

Qualifications:

- Bachelor or Diploma qualification in Business, Information Management or a related discipline
- Business Analysis diploma-level certification
