- Construction Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Cappellotto Vac Truck Operator to join our growing team. Based out of our Goolwa depot, you'll work on a range of SA Water and civil infrastructure projects across metropolitan and regional South Australia.
This is a full-time, permanent position for an operator with proven vacuum excavation experience who takes pride in working safely, efficiently and professionally.
About the Role
As a Cappellotto Vac Truck Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating vacuum excavation equipment to expose underground services, support construction activities, and assist project teams across a variety of civil works.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Cappellotto vacuum excavation truck.
- Perform non-destructive digging (NDD) around live underground services.
- Complete daily pre-starts, maintenance checks and vehicle inspections.
- Assist with excavation, potholing and service locating activities.
- Maintain accurate daily records and job documentation.
- Follow all WHS, environmental and company procedures.
- Work closely with supervisors, clients and site crews.

Skills &
- Experience
Essential
- Demonstrated experience operating a Cappellotto or similar vacuum excavation truck.
- Experience working around underground utilities and live services.
- Current HR Licence (minimum).
- White Card.
- Strong understanding of protected excavation practices.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Desirable
- Excavator ticket.
- Confined Space Entry.
- Working at Heights.
- Traffic Management tickets.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience working on SA Water or utility infrastructure projects.
