BIG4 Carnarvon Gorge Holiday Park are seeking an enthusiastic management couple to join our team as Holiday Park Managers, helping us deliver exceptional guest experiences while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the park.

This live-in role includes on-site accommodation and offers a unique remote living experience on 100 acres within Carnarvon National Park in Queensland. Surrounded by stunning natural scenery and just five minutes from the start of the Gorge walks, it’s an ideal opportunity for couples ready to immerse themselves in both the lifestyle of running a busy, seasonal, holiday park and the peaceful, nature-focused workplace our guests come to enjoy.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

As Park Managers, you’ll be responsible for the smooth operation of BIG4 Carnarvon Gorge Holiday Park. This hands-on role includes:

- Managing daily park operations across accommodation, reception, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the in office restaurant/café during peak season (April - October), providing support to service as needed, including customer service and basic food preparation.
- Delivering a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience for all guests.
- Recruiting, leading, and supporting a small, dedicated team.
- Maintaining a high standard of safety, compliance, and presentation throughout the park.
- Overseeing budgets, revenue, and cost controls.
- Managing assets, grounds, and park facilities.
- Building strong relationships with local stakeholders, tourism bodies, and the BIG4 network.
- Being available for on-call responsibilities as part of the roster.

Qualifications and Skills

- Previous experience in park, resort, or hospitality management.




- Solid computer and administration skills (experience with Newbook or similar reservation systems highly regarded).
- Practical skills in grounds, facilities, and general maintenance.
- Experience with basic septic and water system maintenance.
- A strong focus on guest satisfaction and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and commitment to safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- RSA and RMLV certificates (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Driver’s Licence, Police Clearance, and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
