About the Role
This is an identified position and a genuine occupational requirement exists for the successful applicant to be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander in accordance with Section 50D of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA).
As the Case Worker, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-informed services that improve outcomes for children, young people, and families. You will provide best-practice casework to families experiencing complex needs while leading, mentoring, and supervising a team of Family Support Workers to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred support.
Working collaboratively with foster carers, internal teams, and external stakeholders, you will ensure services are delivered in line with best practice standards, organisational policies, and funding body requirements. You will also contribute to building a high-performing team through staff supervision, probation and performance reviews, and ongoing coaching and professional development.
This role offers the opportunity to influence practice, contribute to the continuous improvement of program policies and guidelines, and help shape service delivery that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families.
About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Experience working with children, young people, and families experiencing crisis, complex needs, and/or child protection concerns.
- A strong understanding of child development, family functioning, and evidence-informed parenting and family support practices.
- Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the community services sector.
- Demonstrated success working within a multidisciplinary team, contributing positively to shared outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Well-developed administrative and organisational skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic case management systems.
