UQ Print Casual position with an hourly rate in the range of $41.84 to $43.52 per hour, plus superannuation of 12% (HEW Level 1) Based At our St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity UQ Print is seeking a reliable and motivated Casual Production Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality print, signage and distribution services across The University of Queensland. Working as part of a collaborative production team and reporting to the Production Lead, you will assist with print finishing, signage production, quality assurance and campus deliveries, helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities - Operate bindery equipment including guillotines, folders and binding machines.
- Assist with trimming, folding, collating and binding printed materials.
- Support signage production activities including laminating, preparing and installing self-adhesive vinyl products.
- Conduct quality checks on completed print and signage products to ensure accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised production environment, including appropriate use of waste and recycling systems.
Delivery
Responsibilities - Operate the UQ Print delivery buggy in accordance with safety requirements and traffic regulations.
- Ensure timely, accurate and professional delivery of materials to locations across the University.
- Assist with routine cleaning and basic maintenance of the delivery buggy.
- Support the movement and handling of print and signage materials as required.
About
You - Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
- Experience in print production, signage, graphic production, or a related environment.
- Ability to safely operate equipment, follow workplace safety procedures, and deliver high-quality work with strong attention to detail.
- Strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
