At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist Level 1-2 to join the Mental Health Assertive Outreach Team (AOT). This is an exciting opportunity to provide recovery-focused care that supports consumers to remain in the community and achieve meaningful health outcomes.

About The Opportunity As an Occupational Therapist Level 1-2, you will provide high-quality, consumer-centred occupational therapy services to adults with complex mental health needs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver assessment, intervention, care planning and recovery-focused support in community settings, helping consumers achieve their goals in the least restrictive workplace possible.

This position plays a key role in supporting recovery, independence and community participation. In this role you will:

- Provide occupational therapy assessment and interventions for consumers with complex mental health needs.
- Develop collaborative, recovery-focused care plans with consumers, families and carers.
- Deliver consumer-centred care in accordance with clinical guidelines, policies and best practice standards.
- Work closely with GPs, hospitals, NGOs and community services to support positive outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, supervision and skilled practice activities

- Qualifications and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Australia.
- Experience or interest in working with consumers experiencing complex mental health challenges.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and care planning skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with consumers, families and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a community-based setting
- Commitment to recovery-oriented practice, teamwork and CCLHD values
