Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure the safety, welfare, and well-being of children through active supervision

- Deliver high-quality play-based learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Build trusting relationships with children and their families, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Create and set up engaging learning environments in line with our holistic educational philosophy.
- Collaborate with your team to plan and implement developmentally appropriate experiences.
- Manage children’s behavior effectively by applying a range of positive guidance techniques to support their learning and emotional regulation.
- Assist in the implementation of daily routines,



using these opportunities as teachable moments to enrich learning experiences.
- Provide care for children, including feeding, assisting with dressing, and promoting hygiene practices as part of their daily routine.
- Prepare and supervising mealtime activities, encouraging healthy eating habits and fostering social skills.
- Support and assist children with special needs by adapting activities and environments to accommodate their individual requirements.
- Observe and document children’s development, behavior, and learning progress to contribute to tailored educational planning.
- Develop strong relationships with children, fostering a sense of belonging and trust.
- Establish and maintain positive partnerships with families, providing regular updates and support to ensure a collaborative approach to the child’s development.
- Implement and uphold the organisation’s policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement across all aspects of the service’s operations.

About you

- AQF Certificate II or III or at least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training




- Clear Working with Children Check
